Girls PDC

FITC currently have two Girls Player Development Centres at Norwich and Lowestoft. Each centre has squads at U10, U12, U14 and U16.

The centres are regarded as a stepping-stone to the Centre of Excellence and provide regular coaching from qualified experienced staff.

The players for the PDC’s are selected through the annual trial having shown the required ability and attitude.

Our FITC scouts are on the look out throughout the season for new girls to join the PDC, and if nominated girls are invited in initially for a 3-week trial.

As well as receiving coaching on a weekly basis, the Player Development squads also play games during school half terms against other Player Development Centres, such as Leicester, Ipswich, Luton, Cambridge and Southend.

Along side the outfield training we are also very lucky to have our own specific Goalkeeping programme as well.

The player’s performance and progress is carefully monitored by the coaches and if selected the players may find themselves being invited into the Centre of Excellence for a trial.

We currently have 117 players involved in the Player Development Centres and we are constantly looking for new talent across the region.
