FITC Olympics 2008
Whilst ‘Team GB' is trying their very best in China to bring home some gold, children from across the county are taking part in their very own Olympics at one of the FITC courses running this summer.
At Carrow Park this week the Girls Only Course held their Olympic games on Wednesday, teams from Great Britain, China, USA and New Zealand took part in events that included Shot Put, Javelin, Hammer Throwing, Long Jump, Relay Race and Rowing, obviously FITC Football style!
Emma Fletcher Head Coach at the Girls Only said "The girls have had a fantastic week, they all dressed up on Wednesday as different sports, we had Swimmers, Horse Riders, Baseball Players, Cricketers, Tennis Players and even Cheerleaders. On the Olympic day the girls spent time making their countries flags, we even had an open ceremony before the 1st event. Its been a jam packed week but an enjoyable one."
A few miles down the road at Attleborough, it's been a hectic week too. Jamie Nielson Head Coach at the venue said " The children have been a pleasure this week, the standard of the football has been good. We had Wacky Wednesday where the children came dressed up, it was really funny, we had Spiderman, a Gorilla and even Joseph and his Technicolor Dream Coat".
