Boys Player Development Centres
Football in the Community has 9 Player Development Centres set up around the Norfolk / Suffolk Region.
The centres are based at Norwich, Lowestoft, Watton, Diss, Gorleston, Holt and Kings Lynn; we also have a Goalkeeping Development Centre along with an Under 14, Under 15 and Under 16 Squad.
The boys who attend the Player Development centres are identified, as very good young players who we feel would benefit from advanced coaching. They train on a weekly basis under the guidance of the Football in the Community Coaches covering all topics involved in football.

The Player Development Centres are strictly invitation only with the emphasis placed on quality coaching for quality boys. Players are recommended to us from our Soccer schools, After school Clubs, Soccer Centres and from NCFC Scouts.
The PDCs start with children from the age of
5 working their way through one of the 7 centre set ups. The
progress pyramid gets tighter at the age of 14 where we have
squads of 20 boys who regularly train and play for one and
a half hours each week. As the boys work their way through
the developmental path they progress through to a great exit
route, Easton College.
Football in the Community and Norwich City Academy
work closely together monitoring the boys progress, if we
feel a player is ready they will be given the opportunity
to attend an Academy trial, hopefully leading to signing Academy
forms and progressing through their system under the guidance
of Sammy Morgan NCFC Academy Director and his team.
PDC Squads
The aim of all the local players is to be selected for our
PDC squads and have the chance to play in fixtures against
other PDCs.So far we have played fixtures against Charlton,
Chelsea, Colchester, Rushden & Diamonds, Wimbledon,
Ipswich and many more.
Selected players get to play matches against other Professional clubs, they also have residential trips, which have been very successful and enjoyed by all.
At the PDC we are always looking for more talent to enhance our standards. Could you be the next Iwan Roberts or Robert Green?
