Kickz

The Kickz project aims to increase the amount of 12-19 year old young people taking part in positive activities. The sessions run three nights a week for 48 weeks of the year, across six venues.

The programme aims to build safer, stronger communities through the development of young people's potential. As well as football coaching and competitions, Kickz offers a range of other positive activities including basketball, street dance, boxing, Dj-ing and dodgeball. Educational sessions are also run, dealing with issues such as healthy lifestyles, sex education and the dangers of getting involved in drugs and carrying weapons. The sessions allow young people, including minority groups, to get involved in their community, break down barriers and and make steps towards personal achievements.

We are currently running six Kickz projects across Norfolk at; Bowthorpe, Kings Lynn, Dereham, North Walsham, Cobholm and Gorleston thanks to funding given by the DCSF through the Youth Sector Development Fund and the Football Foundation.

Kickz has a range of local partners who actively suport the six projects including:
