2nd Half of Extra Time

This week saw Football In The Community start its second block of Extra Time activities.

Funded by the Football Foundation and supported by the Re-energise project and the Riverside Swimming Centre, Extra Time aims to increase access and opportunities for physical and social activities for the over 60's.

The project run's every Wednesday between 10:00-12:00 and consists of an hour's taster of a different sport/exercise class every week. This is followed by an hour's social activity at the Football Club, which includes meeting past players, quizzes, guided tours and much more.

The project also provides the opportunity to visit different stadiums such as Stamford Bridge and Emirates.

There are also a number of fringe walks available in and around Norwich.

The current block started with an hour of low impact aerobics, followed by an hour's social session with the emphasis on getting to know each other, by debating each person's view of the best Norwich City XI.

If you would like to join the Extra Time project or require further information please contact the FITC office on 01603 761122 or email [email protected].
