The Football League U13 Girls Community Cup

On Wednesday 20th February ‘Flegg High School travelled to West Bromwich Albion to represent Norwich FITC in the Regional Final of the Girls U13's Community Cup.

The girls got the opportunity to play at West Bromwich Albion's 1st Team Training Dome and use their fantastic facilities.

The girls were grouped against schools from Colchester, Leicester, Luton, and Walsall.  The games were very competitive but were all played in great spirit and the young team from Flegg were undefeated throughout their games.  However on this occasion due to the structure of the tournament only the winners of the group progressed to the final game and Flegg lost out on Goal Difference, finishing second in their group.

Emma Fletcher FITC Girls and Women's Football Development Officer who travelled with the girls said ‘The Girls were a great credit not only to their school but also to Norwich City.  They performed very well on the day, playing some good football, and were very unlucky not to have progressed to the final game'
